Future Energy Associates are a team of data scientists and energy specialists with experience across the UK and European energy systems. Their mission is to drive the energy transition with data science. I was commissioned to lead their brand redesign and deliver a new visual identity from scratch. The new brand had to be tech-focussed, optimistic and confident. We created a retro-futurist aesthetic with a nostalgic nod to early internet UX, to reflect their roots in data. The logomark combined playful material icons and a monospaced wordmark, to show their breadth across the energy sector, and their rigorous yet flexible approach to analysis.
